E82 Euro LCI Headlight adaptive to non adaptive retro fit

Yall I finally got Euro spec lci headlights for my pre lci 2010 135i! My turn signal housing had burned out beyond repair (an unfortunate common problem) and I needed to buy a new headlight. For those who know it is basically impossible to get euro lci headlights here in the States. (No the ones Bimmerworld sells are not actually euro ones) There are a couple on eBay, but none of them are the adaptive headlights. Based on one comment on an e90 post I gambled to see if these non adaptive headlights would work on my adaptive headlight car.

After a trial and a couple of hours in the garage, they worked! Regardless of what your friend's brother's uncle's dog said, this retrofit works and does not throw any codes, or have any issues apparent to me. The modules, xenon bulbs, and my lux angel eyes swapped right over with no issues. I had to use Bimmercode to code out the adaptive headlights and add a wire to slot 7 in the headlight harness just for the eyebrow. Check out this great thread for a lci retrofit:

And for coding set all these to Nicht_Aktiv
ALC_FAHRZEUG
ALC_KLS_ENABLE
CHECK_SMC_ERROR

Overall they came out to just about $2000, which is extremely expensive considering I am 19, but they absolutely transformed the look of the 1er. Hope someone found this helpful

Here are the ones I bought
