I hear the tappet/lifter tick sound every morning but only on the first start of the day. Not certain if that's what the sound is. At this point. I'm not too concerned since it goes away, unlike my 328 (N52). I believe the sound on the N52 was due to lack of oil in the tappet/lifter at start up...the design was not very good as it allowed all of the oil to drain when sitting idle overnight. Once oil pressure built up to a certain level the sound goes away; the problem with that is one would have to drive at near hwy speeds to get to that point. I would also like to hear what others have to say since I am not too concerned at this point. |
Ken that's the same sound I'm talking about. Lifter tick, and yes only for a few seconds, but it shouldn't happen at all, ya know.
