I also know from my VW/Audi days that some cars can be built with weird tolerances. Sometime you would run across a car that the car body was off as much as 3/4 of an inch from left to right.
That's the thing, I really wasn't expecting this staying with the same tire manufacturer. I will say, the right rear rubs A LOT more than the left so I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that maybe getting an alignment and adding some positive camber will alleviate the rubbing.
