Just an FYI, for every 10 lbs of rotating mass shaven off will result in being .1 faster in the 1/4 as the same with the 100lbs loss mentioned early in this thread.
But I really wouldn't see any problems getting the car close to 3k lbs. As long as people can contribute the weight of what they were taking off and replaced it with.
