I found that with the V12s you get what you pay for. The rears were slicks after 8,000 miles and the outer tread blocks on the fronts where worn pretty bad. I now have 11,000 miles on my PSSs and the rears are just about to hit the wear bars. The PSS fronts will probably last as long as a new set of rears. Keep in mind that I live in South Florida where the conditions are pretty hard on tires (i.e. High heat + shell rock in the asphalt). In addition, I was never really impressed with the wet or dry traction of the V12s. And while the initial cost of PSSs seem more expensive, the cost per mile seems to be equivalent to the V12s. Consider this and the fact that you get twice the grip and you'll begin to understand why most people love the PSSs.
