Really. Not kidding.

I live in north Jersey so I’m familiar with the road conditions. Knock on wood, but I haven’t had a problem with my 135 on 18” wheels. However, I had an 08 335xi, brand new at the time, and that car ate up 4 tires and 1 wheel in a 2 year span. You can easily bubble the short sidewalls because there is little material to absorb the impacts yet not bend a rim.

That was my first car with 18” wheels but it also had factory run flats. Once I switched to non-runflats and drove like I was avoiding land mines, the problem went away.
I've never ruined a wheel or tire in Rockland county but now I live in Manhattan and avoiding potholes has become harder. Sometimes they really come out of no where.
