I think he does.
The intake location for the stock CAI is in a very high pressure area, the front of the grill. "Scoops" add nothing to that because there is already more air piled up at the openings then the intake tract can take in. The factory designed it that way & there is noting new about using that location for the start of the intake tract.
The aftermarket scoops are strictly for show no matter what the guys trying to make a $100 off them claim.
