The BMW Performance SSK only works on N54's. I have one on my car and LOVE it. It is a very nice mod.
BMW 135i SSK throws 6MT
N54 = 80mm throws
N54 w/Perf SSK = 55mm throws
N55 = 70mm throws
Like RobertM says... UUC makes some very good (short shift)shifters. IF they have a SSK for the 1M... its safe to say its probably pretty high qaulity.
I have always wondered IF you could just use the shorter shift lever/arm (#8 in the RealOEM photo above) on a 1M or N55. I bet that would give you 80% of theshort shift feel of the Perf SSK.  |
Out of curiosity how much does the shift effort increase with your SSK? The 1M's throws are long-ish but I like the hot-knife-through-butter feel.
