I have a Sat Nav that I'd like to wire in behind the dash; it has a cigarette lighter lead at present, so I'll need to put in a female cig. lighter socket somewhere I guess.

No idea where to start with this - could someone please help as to which dash pieces to take out, and how to wire in the female cig. lighter socket?
