I don't think it is a issue. I did not see any contact or rubbing issues with Stratus650 's 1M. IF you look at the inside of the hood... looks like there is nothing to seal up against that rubber gasket. I maybe wrong... but it don't look to be an issue.
Besides all this talk (might be!) moot. I don't think you can even order one of these hoods any more.

Stratus were the pioneers on this - when people in the "know" here said BMW wouldn't sell them a hood. IF someone really wants something... don't listen to "others".
