Yea, I had all that. I discovered it was a known issue with the Toshiba sourced bluetooth controller in my Asus laptop. I busted out my other laptop and it fired right up. It took me a while to learn the software and I screwed up the first setup but after about half an hour of tinkering I've got it properly bandpassed and it sounds a lot more precise. The only problem now is fixing the carpet.
I might have to cut the foam off. I don't think it'll impact much, negatively.
