MPG = 29.4?

The 135 coup highway MPG is listed at 28. I figured more HP and Torque, wider tires, fancier body work (less smooth), and a wider car would all add up to worse highway MPG.

Turns out it's pretty widely reported (but not official that I could find) that the 1m highway is 29.4 MPG. Can anyone confirm this number? I googled for "1m 29.4 mpg", 2nd hit was 1addicts.

I guess the fancy "air curtains" have a rather noticeable effect. Kudos to BMW.

Maybe we need a new metric that combines highway MPG and Nordschleife lap time. My best guess is that none of the cars anywhere near the 1m have better MPG. Gotta work it out so 60 mpg car that takes 15 minutes doesn't win though.

Another pleasant surprise that during the overboost you get 369 lb-ft starting at 1500 RPM. The M3 peaks at 295 lb-ft. Seems like combining less weight (400 lbs) and more torque (369) should make the 1m less sensitive to RPM.
