N55 = no forged crankshaft. Surprisingly, the forged shaft on the N54 is heavier than the non-forged one on the N55.
I think the N55 properly tuned and with proper upgrades will be capable of 500hp without issues with internal components. Problems start when people get desperate for more power at any cost, run extremely lean tunes leading to detonation under high temperatures, and there goes the engine. As someone else mentioned, only time will tell.
