I may be out to lunch on this, but how do they replace just the wastegates? It's all one unit isn't it? The wategate is welded to the turbo housing.

If there is a way to just replace the wastegates plase let me know.....I'm at 100K and have the rattle and will have to replace the turbos myself at some point, but if I can just do the wastegates I would be happy.

EDIT: Is it the wastegate acctuator they are wanting to replace? That might be where the confusion is. Those are $30 parts...not easy to replace because you almost have to put the exhaust system down to almost parade rest, but still....those really don't fail.
