The officer can check yes or no, its his discretion. I THINK by checking NO it forces you to see a judge to fix it. You could pay the hefty fine and keep your tints on I think.

My experience with a NO check was with no drivers license in my possession and my option was pay $160, or set a date and show my ID to the judge and pay $10. In reality you sit through the trials, the judge goes to his chambers for a break and the clerk and bailiff signed me off after showing them my drivers license. Basically just a hassle, cops who want to make it hard on you do it. When I went to the Sheriffs dept to get it signed off the lady asked what A-hole checked no for you.

Either way its not a moving violation and you dont get a point.
