Happens on mine too, especially on the passenger's side. I'm thinking of designing an alcantera or heavy rawhide patch for it, kind of like the elbows on shooting jackets, that I can velcro on there and replace as needed. Probably wouldn't even need to replace the bolster section with velcro, you can probably just fashion small hogrings inserted into the creases to hide the method of attachment.
If I can come up with something I'll post it up. If not, out comes the duct tape. It would make a neat statement, don't you think? Bring it into the dealer like that at your next service
