It's not a heat related issue at all.
The ceramic material used in the piston insert is developed to withstand temperatures much higher than any brake pad can possibly create. These same type of inserts are used in the Porsche GT3 Cup cars and have never resulted in this type of problem, even after multiple full race seasons.
