You're right Spud...I couldn't have said it better.
A lot of these spy shots....that the cgi's are using as templates are taken with telephoto lens' or zooms so you get a slightly weird distortion that gets carried over when they're photoshopped.
Notice how the hood seems not quite as long as it should be?...in a small car, accurate representations are crucial to conveying the the reality....and we aren't seeing it yet.
