They also make less HP at 7k than they did at 4.8k, heh. That was the one thing I didn't like about my 135i's motor. It feels like it hits a wall at 6300.
EDIT: In all fairness, on 100 octane with the most aggressive map Terry offered I was still making power at redline, but I was holding like 13psi of boost vs 17.5 at 5800 (I'm not sure if he ever publicly released that map...). I think that's the absolute limit of the stock turbos, and over 17 PSI is definitely pushing it, but it was 20*F on 100 octane, so I had some fun, didn't throw any codes, or have any misfires or knocks.
