Im kinda used to folding the seat down now coz i work in a bike shop and deliver bike from time to time lol

Yeah, hate mud/dirt in the car. I put an old sheet down when the bike goes in. If the bike goes inside before I get a bike rack I'll be sliding the seat post down next time. Should make a big difference. I take the front wheel off but usually leave the back on. One hassle with the bike going in the car with the front wheel off is that the front brake lever can get squeezed & pistons move out a long way while the bike's on it's side. I end up later with a front calliper that won't let the wheel spin freely. I've found the brake line hard to bleed to rectify this.
