If it is the chargepipe and is broken or has come off / not sealing tight, the problem would not go away once your start your car again.
+1 that it may be a spark plug or ignition coil issue. I would start with changing spark plugs, as it is a cheaper approach to attempt to fix the issue. Surprised you are not triggering any codes though.
