That's hardly the right product for vinyl/leatherette.
Try it, you will be surprised. It works great on vinyl/leatherette and leather as well. I have a 23 year old leather recliner which I Lemon Pledge once a month. Looks better than new. I use Lexol on the car's leather since it seems to keep the leather more supple in the winter.
