For shits and giggles today on the commute home, I changed the Procede settings to show boost in the fuel gauge. However, even at 4k rpm under load I never saw the needle get off 0. Clearly that's not right, so back to the thread title, how would one know if it were a gauge issue or a legitimate boost issue?
