I spoke too soon, earlier. I took an antihistamine right after the sting occurred, and all was reasonably well until yesterday, when I got an swollen and reddened area on my thigh that has been getting worse. Today is 3 days out.
My internist thinks it is cellulitis (e.g. a skin infection) and I'm now taking an antibiotic.
