Just wrapped this up using 02rsxpilot's reach in method. Worked great for me, and made the project easier than I had anticipated.

I highly recommend tracking down a 5" or longer 5mm allen wrench before you get started. It'll allow you to keep the strut assembly as low as possible while tightening the bottom nuts, which would have been well worth the five bucks. The vice grip method with a standard allan wrench was fiddly.

Still, it was only around a 90-minute job including raising and lowering the car, and I didn't have a helper. Shower beer time!
