Best thing to do would be to use a leather cleaner and a boars hair brush. A soft toothbrush would work as well. Apply a small amount of cleaner and work it into the affected area in small concentric circles to agitate the dirt and oils. This will work the leather cleaner into a lather. That should lift the stain. I use Lexol leather cleaner but almost anything should work.
