IF my car were stock ride height (or slightly higher if I had coilovers) then these tires would not rub at all. My rubbing is due to the larger tires in combination with a lowered ride height. You are correct in that a rim's offset can prevent or cause rubbing in some ways but my rubbing has nothing to do with offset.
