It's quite obvious that 3-series coupe are a step ahead in size regarding the original 1975's 3-series. What makes me think the new 1-series coupe could actually be a successor of that car.

Does anyone have an idea of which could be the external and/or internal measures and how they could compare with the original e21 3-series?.

I am very curious about that, as it seems to me that they could be quite similar in the outside but I doubt they have similar space inside neither boot capacity.
