Took it to a mechanic closer to work today recommended by my tyre guys (highly recommended! - PM for details). They bleed the system with their ATE pressure bleeder and got all the air out on the first go. Also found that the rear pins and spring on the callipers wasn't inserted properly causing the loud click when braking. He also adjusted the handbrakes as well.

Now, with it fixed - the brakes are just sensational. I have so much control over the brakes now. Now, just need to see how good they are on track.

I had the CDV removed as well, and I have no idea how much better it has become. I always thought I was a crappy driver with the poor gear change, but it is just CDV doing its nasties. Always thought CDV is there to design to save the clutch but I have to conclude that it is only there to protect it if you dump the clutch. Otherwise, what it does is just create unnecessary slips.

Now, I am happy .
