The 1M MotoGP Safety Car was recently unveiled and will be one of the M cars serving as a safety car for the 2011 MotoGP, the world's premier motorcycling championship, which kicks off this weekend! But the 1M coupe won't be serving its safety duties in regular form. It has been gussied up, sporting an Akrapovic exhaust, large rear wing, large M striping, black wheels, black exhaust tips, vented hood, black grilles, and a front spoiler chin - some of which we hope will become available accessories.
We've also posted a bonus shot (courtesy of
Autogespot) of the 1M MotoGP safety car with an S1000RR, carbon edition (180hp, tinted windshield, Akropovic titanium exhaust and lots of carbon fiber).
The 2011 MotoGP season kicks off this Sunday with the Grand Prix of Qatar on March 20th, where we hope to see the 1M MotoGP Safety Car for the first time. Here is the
full 2011 MotoGP schedule.
