As previously stated, I've been using the AA product (the only product of theirs that I use) for three or four years now, on stock BMW and aftermarket powder coated wheels, with no ill effects. If you let it dry overnight, it doesn't sling and dries clear. If you get it on a little thick, it can have a slightly hazed appearance, but it's pretty minor.
I'm a semi-casual auto detailer, I would be very aware of any damage this stuff caused. I've been through multiple cans of it, roughly every three or four weeks on both cars and it works as advertised. It does come off with minimal water contact, so the above pic seems unlikely that it saw much if any rain, just driving through standing water seems to diminish nearly all benefit.
