1) It depends on which country you live, if the standard windows trim is aluminum or gloss black. In the US, it is black. In Europe, it is aluminum. Don't know for your country. But I like the alu trim.
2) You cannot setup the M or MDM button in the 1M. There is only 1 pre-defined setting by BMW. So you can push the M button ON or OFF (for faster throttle response), and the MDM button ON (= ESP fully on), semi-OFF (= MDM mode, push once) and full-OFF(= no electronics, push and hold down)
