Turbos dont fail THAT often, and theyre actually not too brutal to replace out of pocket. Wastegates and hpfp have separate tsb claims, so your factory warrant doesnt matter there. Water pumps/thermostats can go bad on all bmws, and yes those are pricey. As with all warranties, you are hedging risk. I dont think theyre worth the cost, but its a close call.
