I can't vouch for the 135 but the other 1 series cars ALL have leatherette. It's not an option, you ask for leather interior and you get 98% leatherette. The only real leather is a strip down the sides of the front seats, the arm rests on the doors and i forget whats real leather in the back. The bulk of the seats is leatherette... and yes we were mighty pissed off when we found out after ordering Boston Leather interior. Biggest give away is they aren't porous like leather, if you try to use leather cleaner or conditioner on the leatherette parts it doesn't soak in at all.
