No,
iDrive is optional but most cars seem to be optioned with it. On my car I did not want it.
You need to go thru the
BC menu via the turn signal stalk(button on the end) and the MENU button above the radio to change your settings.
You might want to consult your owners manual or ask your salesman at the dealer.
