Hahaha that place is awesome. Yea it is free for whoever's birthday if they show their ID, at least the last time I went (few years ago).
My friend (cheap ass) used to get a bunch of sushi, a bowl of soup, and eat only the fish and hide the rice in the soup so they didn't see it when they cleared his plates. We gave him a big mound of wasabi and told him it was green tea ice cream though =)
