What you don't understand is that the data is downloaded upon insertion of the key into the slot.
SO even if you have CA or haven't even used that key, all the Service guy does it put the key in your slot once you're out the door and bango - there's all the info they need.
Having CA and never putting your key in the slot doesn't matter.
Never using a key and giving it to them doesn't matter.
They simply put the key in the slot, then they have all the data.
