First thing I'd be looking for is a vacuum leak post-MAF. Check for loose clamps and cracks in tubing, especially around bends. A smoke test is the sure way to find it, but requires special equipment.
Have you pulled fault codes, and if so, what are they? I'd strongly encourage doing this, as it may make it much easier to locate the issue.
