M1 was and should always be a supercar from BMW, not a car that is to be at the bottom of the M Family. My best name option would be something like BMW M135/M135 tii as they did with the M6 in the 80's, now that they don't mind the ridiculously long name, i.e. BMW Z4 sDrive35is. Please don't get me wrong, I'm a BMW purist.
