god, I hate any discussions on orange peel.
i guess i second what Metak said; does it really bother you to the point of stripping down the paint to get a smooth finish? on an old car, sure...you're repainting and starting with a fresh coat of paint. but to do this on a factory job is kinda pointless since you're sanding down original paint. it's less protection overall...why do it?
