Let's install the Rear Sunshades

Since I am not much a fan of aftermarket tint, I decided to try the BMW Rear Window Sunshades to keep the car a bit cooler in the summer. The Sunshades are sold as the side window shades (you get both the driver and passenger) and rear window shade. Not as nice as the rolling sunshades on the bigger models, but still very nice, and they install in seconds.

Each includes a nice storage bag for when the sunshades are not in use (rear sunshade on the right):

Installing the Sunshades

Installation is very easy, to install the side sunshades, slide the back corner in first, engaging the rear clip (it simply slides between the glass and the C-Pillar).



Then slide the front edge into place. Slide the front clip back and then slide it into place.



To install the Rear Sunshade, slide the bottom edge in first and then install the top edge.

When installed, you can still see out from inside the car:
