I just know he said they mod'd the WG so it won't jam up and make the rattle. They also replaced the actuators. The company specializes in servicing Porsche turbochargers. I don't think the actual turbo cartridge(center section) was changed. I believe only the WG side.

My buddy says his car no longer sounds like a rattle snake when he drives it! Plus the engine seems to pull much harder now(better WG sealing now).

Hmm.. this is interesting. Would you mind PMing me the shop's phone# and the name of your friend? It might be easy to replicate that kind of modifcation & have someone set up a service for it of a DIY. Since I need turbos soon this sounds much better than installing smoking RBs for reliability & with inlets would make the N54 much more reliable.
