My sister in law is from Taipei and I am supposed to visit there sometime next year. Out of all the times I've traveled in the area, I've never had a chance to sample the stinky tofu.

Now I have yet another reason to go! Looks like a great group of BMW enthusiasts and lots of windy roads to check out.

Thanks for the inspiring photos! You guys are lucky that you're not all spread out like the US. I've only seen two other 1M's in a year of ownership.
You'll love TW for sure, in either city or country side. Many many friendly people, I've lived in both Taipei and New York for all my life and tell you the truth... I like Taiwan more because it's so convenient and the night life's just amazing. I also see way more modded European cars there than in NY.

Also Taiwan Beer gold label FTW

They are friendly until you need to knock on their door to tell them to keep the noise down so that you can sleep. For night life it is fun if you like to party but if you want some peace at night so you can sleep it's nearly impossible unless you can afford a newly built building in the city or you live in your own house outside of the city otherwise you will find that your neighbor above you walks around like a gorilla 24/7.

If you like to eat out, shop and party the city can be quite a bit of fun but otherwise the noise pollution and air pollution will drive you nuts unless you are a local as most locals seem immune to these 2 things.
