I'd been following this thread hoping for a fix for the ticking sound, but finally i couldn't take it anymore and brought it into service a couple days ago,
THEY GOT RID OF THE SOUND!
The ticking comes from some kind of seatbelt cable/cord hitting against the body of the car. Just have them wrap it with something soft, like cloth or felt.
My enjoyment of the car has just shot up even more (since I was fixated on listening to that ticking and tapping all the time
