I'm not sure I buy the theory that leather seats are a must-have. There are definitely lots of people who feel that way, but I'm not sure why.
Cloth seats are nicer in the summer, nicer in the winter and hold up better. Then again, I chose cloth over leather for my sofa too. It may just be personal preference, but I would not be surprised if the "luxury" appeal of leather isn't rooted in the $1450 option the dealers have taught us we have to have.
