As promised, a pair of pics, during, then post swap. Learning how to remove the first grill was somewhat of a learning curve, took some minutes to figure out how to not scratch the surrounding bits or break anything, then, having performed the task, the second unit was dispatched in about 60 seconds. Thanks are due to Andy for the instructions to accomplish this totally easy DIY.
My old 2002 had silver surrounds with black grill bars, BMW sez' the 1 echoes the spirit of the 2002, least I could do was emulate that...:wink: The mod is perfect, obligatory, for JB.
Also, while you have the grills removed, you might as well take advantage of the opportunity and install a full compliment of obligatory dead bugs on the radiator.
