As for your questions, I'm not sure about playing a DVD using your nav, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that it is possible. The car audio or general forums would be a good place to start looking for answers to that one. You can most definitely make the car beep or honk when you lock it, all you need to do is look in the owner's manual. If your car didn't come with an owner's manual then there should be instructions on how to access that feature through the cars on-board computer on the BMW NA website.
