For me personally my car is mainly OK at idle, occasionally it has a split second hiccup where it feels like it is going to stall and then regathers itself just as quick.
Looking online it appears the N54 isn't a smooth idling type of engine, but I have never had another N54 to compare it to really...
The main issue I have always had is in say 4th gear doing 60 km/h it is smooth and coasting along it feels like its 'hunting' then if you give the accelerator a prod it smooths itself out.
In the past month or so it has gotten progressively worse to the point that occasionally when I go WOT and goes straight into limp.
