^ theoretically a OCC will help because the carbon build up on the intake values is the oil fumes being vented by the PCV which an OCC is supposed to capture. However i think OCC helps but does not solve the problem. In the long run you will likely need your values blasted eventually no matter what. The problem simply is that in a direct injection engine, there is no fuel flowing over the values to "wash them" and so grime will build up over time.
