Just wanted to add some additional information to this thread.

The OEM diffuser is attached to the bumper via 4 plastic single-use pop rivets (6x21mm): Part # 51118222901

You can snip the tops off from above where the diffuser attaches to the bumper and then work the plastic rivet head free. As Ian///M pointed out the rest of the diffuser is attached via clips which are pretty snug.

To replace them with new blind rivets you'll need something like this tool:

(Apparently the heads on HF's standard rivet gun are too small to accommodate the plastic rivet pin on these pop rivets.)
